Deeply original and affecting dancers, Jean Paulovich and Iryna Pinihina have injected ballroom dancing with extraordinary artistry since they began their professional collaboration in 2004. Crowned the 2006 United States National Professional Rising Star Latin Champions as well as the 2008 champions of the Southern States, the couple has earned top placements in numerous international competitions in the intervening years. The two are equally respected as performers,appearing on stages ranging from Ocean City Music Pier and New Brunswick's St. Joseph's Hospital to Good Morning America. When they dance, Paulovich and Pinihina are alive within the music. They are authentic, engaged both with each other and with those who come to see them. Born in Vitebsk, Belarus, Paulovich is a bold, expressive dancer, technically brilliant and emotive. Pinihina, who was born in Minsk, Belarus, grew up competing as both a dancer and a gymnast, a background transparent today in her enormous grace and vibrant spirit. As teachers, Paulovich and Pinihina have a devoted following. As performers, they look toward a long and promising career.
